Mindy Johnson, DVM, CCRT, CHT-V

Dr. Mindy Johnson is originally from northeast Tennessee.  She is a 1998 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.  She initially practiced mixed-animal medicine in Alabama before moving to Kentucky with her family in 2001.  She became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT) in 2006 through the Canine Rehab Institute.  In 2010 Dr. Johnson moved her practice into Lexington and opened the Veterinary Wellness Center.  She is a founding member and current board member of the Veterinary Hyperbaric Medical Society.  She is a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist-Veterinary (CHT-V) by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Technology (NBDHMT).  

Dr. Johnson lives in Versailles, KY with her husband Chris and sons Noah, Colton and Ty. They share their home with two standard poodles Max and Moses.  She enjoys trail riding with her mule, driving with her donkey, fishing and antiquing.

Daisy Richardson, DVM, CVA, CHT-V

Dr. Daisy Richardson was born and raised in western Kentucky with a passion for animals. A graduate from the University of Kentucky in Animal Sciences, Dr. Richardson received her Docorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.  After completing an internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in 2000, Dr. Richardson developed an interest in Chinese Acupuncture and herbal therapies.  She received her Certification in Acupuncture on the registers of the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine and the China National Society of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine in 2006.  Dr. Richardson’s veterinary interests are internal medicine, geriatric, sport dogs, and holistic medicine.

Dr. Richardson lives in Lexington with her husband Cody and sons Reed and Tate.  She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and being outdoors. Labrador Retrievers Stella, Lulu and a big orange kitty named Buzz complete the Richardson family.

 

Lauren Bruns, DVM

Dr. Lauren Bruns is originally from western Ohio and graduated from Ohio State University veterinary school in 2018. After completing an internship at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital, Dr. Bruns continued with equine for a few years before switching to practicing on dogs and cats. Dr. Bruns’s interests are internal medicine, overall wellness and rehabilitation.

Dr. Bruns lives in Cynthiana and enjoys spending time with her dog, Poppy, reading, projects around her house and traveling.
